TechCrunch Meetup
The third TechCrunch meetup occurred Friday October 21, 2005 at the Techcrunch/Edgeio house/office in Atherton, some miles down from San Francisco (very close to the Marsh exit on 101). Food, drinks, fire pit, demo computers and great conversation guaranteed.
Sponsorships: Since the previous two events were a success (see the page for the last one), we’re aiming even higher with this one, and are accepting corporate sponsorships to keep the event free. If you want to sponsor the event, drop us an email (editor@techcrunch.com) or give us a call so we can provide you with the necessary details.
Okay, so Festoon sucked
The third TechCrunch meetup was a disaster for remote attendees. The plan was to have dozens of people using a video conferencing software called Festoon to be able to witness the third TechCrunch meetup remotely. Unfortunately, the Festoon software was horid and didn’t work well at all. The software was so horrible that remote attendees could not hear the presentations taking place at the meetup.
The use of Festoon is not recommended.
